One Last Week at the Nursery

My replacement has been hired, and she started last Monday.  I'm so relieved.  It means I'll get to keep my revised end date of October 1st.  Peggy is a quick study and I have high hopes for her success at the nursery, and picking up my job easily.  Well, as easily as can be expected.

What next, you ask?  At least a week of paperwork and getting organized before doing some 'local' loads - still likely to be home weekends until November.  Will we go all 48 before the first of the year?  Don't know yet.  We'll go where the loads are - which at that time of year we might be hauling Christmas trees down to SoCal and Arizona - both states in which we already have authority.  It makes sense to wait until we renew authority to get all 48 states.  That's the first of the year.

We will be taking it a chunk at a time, and do things as they make sense to do them.  First step is get organized, then we'll see.  It is exciting, to be sure.  And terrifying, in a way.  But I'm game.  : )
